From safeguarding sensitive documents to maintaining secure processes, every measure is taken to help ensure your information remains protected and confidential.
Education & Credentials
In addition to completion of an accredited and extensive tax program, Stern Group associates complete all IRS Annual Filing Season Program (AFSP) requirements, including the Annual Federal Tax Refresher (AFTR) course when applicable. Continued education occurs throughout the year as well. We stay current on tax law changes, IRS guidance, and industry developments to provide clients with knowledgeable, reliable tax preparation. We also continue our involvement in tax communities and our membership with the National Association of Tax Professionals (NATP).

Hi, I'm Alyssa, the founder of Stern Group lc. I have enjoyed finding ways my talents can help serve others. My keen attention to detail, critical thinking skills, and innovation have led me into the career of tax filing, where accuracy, confidentiality, continued education and trusted consultation are essential. My professional background includes client services, management, software, and accounting, often wearing multiple hats at once. In addition to my tax education and certifications, my educational background includes a degree in Computer Information Systems with a focus on cybersecurity and certification in accounting software.Â

Originally from Missouri, I moved to Virginia in 2021 and quickly fell in love with its beautiful landscapes. Not long after, I fell in love with my husband, and together we've planted roots in Northern Virginia. As a wife, mother, and dog owner, I understand the importance of family and having someone you can trust when it comes to your finances.
